Priorities & Focus

Economic Development
Being a local business owner, and an active member of CEDAC, creating plans to shape the future of our business community in the upcoming term looks like: Ensuring businesses have the space to grow, showcasing the opportunity for businesses across sectors to call North Grenville their home, and highlighting and preserving the history and beauty of our downtown core, by recognizing it’s draw as a visitor destination.

Affordable Housing and Senior Support
Our community is rapidly growing, to meet the needs of current residents and new residents, a focus on long term sustainability is a priority. This includes more diversity in housing, to support residents in every stage of their life, and reducing red tape around permits for secondary suites.

Collaboration and Transparency
To be engaged, involved, and transparent is how we foster strong communities. Reflecting on my experience in strengthening community relationships and willingness to work hard when tasked across community organizations and municipal committees, I value the strength in collaboration, and place a continued priority on ensuring transparency through clear ongoing communication and community consultations.
COMMUNITY INTERACTION & REPRESENTATION
A councillor’s responsibility is to listen to residents, ask informed questions, conduct thorough research, and represent the interests of the people who elected them. I am committed to providing clear, accessible, plain-language explanations of municipal issues and ensuring that residents’ perspectives are heard and considered in Council discussions, debates, and public inquiries.
SAFETY FIRST
Every Council decision should begin with one essential question: Does this protect the safety and well-being of North Grenville residents? I am committed to prioritizing emergency preparedness, safe roads, and reliable infrastructure, with proactive planning that identifies risks and addresses potential problems before they arise, helping protect families and build a safer, more resilient community.
RESPONSIBLE PLANNING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Growth is inevitable, but sustainable growth requires careful planning, ongoing monitoring, and responsible decision-making. Roads, water and wastewater infrastructure, emergency services, environmental protection, and the needs of local businesses must be considered before decisions are made—not after problems arise. I believe growth should be managed responsibly, with development contributing its fair share toward the infrastructure and services it requires, while protecting existing residents from an undue financial burden.
FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY & FORESIGHT
Council decisions can shape North Grenville for decades to come. Residents deserve clear, transparent information about what decisions are being made, why they are necessary, how they are funded, and what their short- and long-term costs will be. I am committed to advocating for comprehensive annual public reporting on major municipal projects, including project costs, expenditures, and financial accountability, so residents can review the information and understand how public funds are being spent.
TRANSPARENCY & ACCESSIBILITY
Every resident deserves transparency and a clear understanding of municipal decisions and the reasons behind them. I am committed to open communication, providing information in clear and accessible language, and ensuring that municipal services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all residents.
